Really?

‘I’m fine! I would just run or talk my way out of it.’ By saying that – you are practically saying that all the WOMEN victims of sexual assaults, violent crime and kidnapping were just very silly and didn’t think of running or talking their way out of it and of course you would be able to do that. We are all for running and verbal deescalation (talking) but NO offence… most criminals will put you in a situation where your talking or running is just NOT AN OPTION. Criminals and sexual predators are stupid but not THAT stupid.

Have you ever seen Police on scene before an attack happened? Almost always they come when it’s too late and TRY TO find the guy who committed the crime. Average response time in a city is 8 min. That’s a long wait with a smelly, creepy guy in a dark street on your way home. Imagine walking on a dark street. Some scary looking man approaches you and suddenly blocks your way. When you try to go around him he moves and stops you again. At that point you know his intentions are bad and he’s serious about it. There is no one around to help (not many people would help anyway.) He’s getting aggressive, despite you trying to deescalate telling him not to touch you, he tells you to come with him. Now he gets extremely close to you (you can smell alcohol on his breath) and he tries to grab you.

You have 2 choices:

  1. Hit him really strong with a combination of hits that NO GUY can block – he goes down in a second. You trained that at FIT2FIGHTBACK Krav Maga and you know it works every time, even when the guy is big, drunk and aggressive.
  2. You freeze with fear and he hits you to prevent your resistance, grabs you and pushes you to the ground or his car, conveniently parked next to the pavement.

Ask yourself honestly, what would you do? Choice 1? or maybe more realistically 2? I almost didn’t start Krav Maga because I was worried I was too unfit, but Fit2FIghtBack Instructor structures the classes in a way that I’m motivated to . . .
